About the Role
Monitor and ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and regulations for construction and civil engineering projects.
Conduct regular site inspections to ensure that work is carried out according to approved plans, quality standards, and timelines.
Verify the quality and quantity of materials used on-site and ensure proper storage and handling.
Identify any potential issues and suggest corrective measures to the project team.
Maintain detailed records of site activities, progress, and any deviations from the design or specifications.
Liaise with contractors, engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to facilitate effective communication and resolution of any on-site issues.
Assist in the preparation and review of progress reports, meeting minutes, and other documentation.
Ensure that health and safety regulations are strictly adhered to on-site.
Requirements
A degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Architecture, or a related field.
At least 3 years of experience in a similar role within the construction industry.
Must have a code B license (minimum)
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications.
Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
Must be a resident of Tsumeb or willing to relocate to Tsumeb.
